Never have a problem in the OC area I travel the I5 corridor to Seattle every nite and have great reception while a friend with Verizon Has drop outs in several places I really think Nokia does a better Job on the Cingular Net a friend with a Motorola has more problems than me.Was this review helpful to you?
Calls are dropped every several minutes even though a constant 3 to 4 bars show, happens whether we are inside or outside the house. Very frustrating it is keeping us from using cell as primary phone for home use, locking us into landline service. Was this review helpful to you?
Had AT&T with a NOKIA phone til Cingular took it over. Now I have Cingular with an LG C2000 phone and the reception is the worst I have ever heard. I can barely take any calls, and when I do, everyone is frustrated speaking with me - it's all garbled and cuts in and out. SUCKS. The AT&T / Nokia combo wasn't great by any means, but it was better than this. I need to drop everything and start over. How can reception be this bad right in the city?! Ridiculous. Was this review helpful to you?
verizon is very good, stay away from Cingular if you are worried about coverage around portland area and beyond. Was this review helpful to you?
In the area that I am in, it is a little iffy, I get about 2-3 bars. In my apartment I have to sit in my bed to use my phone. But for any other wireless company it is a pretty crappy area for cell phones... .but other than that Sprint is fantastic! Was this review helpful to you?
Reception is very spotty in this area. Dropped calls are common occurrence. Was this review helpful to you?
VERY POOR if any reception. Have to go outside and walk across the street to talk on the phone. A tin can and string might work better. Was this review helpful to you?
In general, I've found Sprint PCS reception to be good in the Portland area--partly due to the five-year-old phone, which I've found can pull a signal where the newer Motorolas and Samsungs have nothing--but I just moved and this area and E of 33rd into the 40s and just north of the Alameda ridge seems to be a dead zone. I'm down to one bar and have had lots of dropped calls for the first time. Problem is, the newer phones all seem to have worse reception, which means no signal here. Sprint PCS customer service seems to have gone DOWNHILL after the Nextel merger also, which I didn't at all expect. Verizon is the only carrier I haven't heard complained about in close-in PDX... is it really the only option to aviod dead zones? Was this review helpful to you?
the reception is really poor... when I do get reception I have to run to the parts of the house that can hold a call, but usually the calls drop after a minute or so. Unfortunately I just re-upped right before I moved here... I'm screwedWas this review helpful to you?
Lousy, lousy, lousy. Dropped calls, garbage conversations, lame. T-Mobile response? "If you look at our coverage map... ", like I need to look at a map to find out I'm getting sucky coverage? "If I were you I'd buy a new phone." Oh, aren't you special. "Try power cycling." -- You know, turning your phone off an on. Got this response from 3 different people who all had access to the same history of my complaints. Was this review helpful to you?
