We are just off of I-5 and Capitol Hwy. on Taylors Ferry. We get one bar. You know where else I get one bar Frog Lake, South Slough, on Lake Billy Chinook. For years we had great service and lately it’s gotten worse. I’m here looking at options and reading reviews.

My galaxy 7 Verizon phone with service via straight talk always had decent signal here. When it died I bought a galaxy 20 5g on my wife's Sprint plan. What a joke. I have to remember to turn cell data off at home, and choose lte manually everywhere else, or data doesn't work at all. I've yet to see a byte of data flow over 5g. It works over lte, but using Sprint as a carrier means 5g is a non starter in this area, and even lte is sub par.

Verizon

I convinced my partner to leave Cricket and join me at Verizon when I moved to Portland last September. It seemed like a great idea, as I was overdue for an upgrade (waiting for Samsung Note 10 Plus) and Verizon was offering a BOGO. I regret it daily. We have terrible data coverage and at times have even experienced dropped calls. I NEVER thought I would hear anyone say how much they miss their generic smartphone and CRICKET'S SERVICE. He wants to pay to end contract early and return to CRICKET. I just keep wishfully thinking that the VERIZON service I know and love is going to show up again... some day. But I am losing ALL hope. Also tried service at his sister's house near NE 84th and NE Beech; results = no improvement, and at our daughter's house in Gresham, OR; results = little - no improvement.

Verizon

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Milwaukie Providence | 32nd, Portland, OR 97222 |

It’s been this way since I switched from T-Mobile on March 6, 2020. There is little to no service inside my house. I’ve talked to Verizon multiple times until a T1 in tech took pity on me and escalated me to a T2 who said network extenders were back ordered since I’m not the only person dealing with this issue

Terrible reception -102 to -112db. People with other carriers have the same problems at my house. Have checked entire area, very bad signal.

I get between 1 and 2 bars of lte signal on Sprint. The phone often drops to 3g. Galaxy note 9 Verizon phones have full bars in the same area.

Sprint

2 Out of 5 (2 stars) | I Live 1 Block Off of Powell Blvd.And Walters In G, Gresham, OR 97080 |

I've never had a problem with Sprint (customer for 10 years) until I moved to Gresham. 2 bars is the new norm. I'm not sure if it's the location or the fact that Sprint merged with TMobile. Something has got to change!

Verizon

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Sandy Blvd., Portland, OR 97220 |

Down to 1 bar. Hotspot unusable. 2 We used to have at least 3 bars. I went to Verizon store for assistance and their only suggestion was to purchase a $200 booster. Called Verizon got the same response. What's wrong Verizon, can't keep up with the urban growth of Portland?

The signal strength is usually -112db to -115 db in this area. The service in this entire area is terrible. Constant dropped calls, one bar shows on phone always.
