Verizon
I’m using Xfinity Mobile which runs on Verizon. Inexpensive service that charges only $12 / GB for data, with voice and text free, but a total joke. One or two bars at most, dropped calls and frequently the inability to dial out. Have to reboot my phone to restore service. Poor coverage on Island Crest (“No Service”). Hard to say how much of this is a Verizon issue and how much Xfinity.

I've had T-Mobile since they started in business, moved from ATT who I had since 1984, yes 1984. Outside of Montana service on Bainbridge Island is horrific. If you have T-Mobile and move to PNW, switch! They are even based here and my office in SLU, next to T-Mobile office 0 bars! I have thief range extender amplifiers and still get ZERO bars at home and ZERO bars at office.

Awful coverage with Verizon. I had Sprint when I first was exploring the area and it didn't seem bad. With Verizon despite living within a mile of the city center and the freeway I rarely have LTE and there are periods of 10 to 30 minutes where my phone stops sending and receiving text messages.

Always have lost calls - and don’t receive calls. Bad.

Coverage is very congested downtown. Data times out. Calls drop to 3G instead of LTE. WiFi calls not handing off properly to LTE. Don’t count on service near the convention center during anything major. You’ll see 3 / 4 bars of LTE, but if you can dial out, your call is sure to drop. The experience downtown with Verizon is definitely not worth premium charge.

I used AT&T prepaid with no issues for over a year. From West Seattle to Bellevue to First Hill, calls over 4G were clear and no issue with dropping. The LTE was blazing fast on my iPhone 8+. Even had decent coverage on the 11th floor of my office building downtown.

Terrible reception at home, and throughout most of the island. Constant dropped calls. LTE indicator is at 2 bars max, most of the time 1 bar only. LTE coverage frequently disappears. Overall, strongly recommend against Verizon on Mercer Island. Prior to switching to Verizon (didn't bother to check given the national reputation), used AT&T and the service was great.

My carrier is Consumer Cellular who leases ATT and TMobile. I have 3 phones with ATT Sims. Since 6 / 19 / 18, I have been without service. Carrier states ATT updating network resulting in problem and requested I change out my SIM Cards. After new SIMS and all the pitfalls of doing so including loss of all visual voicemail, service worked for only 1 day and back to square one -- no service. Can't call support as my 3 lines are dead. I don't know if this is ATT issue or not but losing confidence in CC which was once a good carrier.
