Since moving into my new house my reception is horrible. I bought an extender, but need to know the direction of the closest tower so that I can point the one on the roof.

Two years ago 4 to 5 bars and excellent coverage. Coverage and signal strength have steadily deteriorated to average 2 bars with dropped calls and internet service comparable to "dial up speeds". Have replaced phone and also spent hours and hours, (probably 20+),talking with T Mobile tech support etc to no avail.. what gives..

Couldn't get incoming or outgoing calls from within 3 blocks of my apartment for the last month. Calls drop a lot when outside of that zone. So bad!

One bar in most of Seattle for the past month. Same while traveling anywhere in downtown Sacramento. Something has changed on the ATT network. Coverage in metropolitan areas where it should be strongest is worthless. Same issue on all iPhones in our family.

The past few weeks our ATT cell service on all 3 of our iPhones has been awful. We have had good ATT service at our home in this area for 13 years. What has changed?

reception is good here and with their 60 unlimited plan the wifi hotspot feature works well throughout my house. Hard to imagine any stingier company though after they shut off my service on Saturday night of Memorial Day weekend when car troubles prevented me from making it to the cell store before they closed so I could pay my monthly bill. Its a good thing I wasnt stuck out of town that Memorial Day when they turned off my service or I would really have had a crisis. As it was I had to wait until Tuesday morning after the holiday to get cellular service again.

A couple of weeks ago, my phone started losing inbound audio on nearly every call; this had happened before occasionally, but never consistently. On a 5 minute call, I'd have 2 or 3 periods of about 30-40 seconds when I couldn't hear the other person; occasionally they couldn't hear me, but usually it was me not hearing them. My Nokia lumia 830 had always been a bit quirky, so I thought it was the problem, and bit the bullet to buy a $240 refurb iPhone 5s. After hours of transferring all my info, I still had the problem on the new phone. So I called T-Mobile customer service, and they told me the towers in my area were fine (that one was "undergoing modernization" but that there were 9 others, so there shouldn't be any issues), so it must be my sim card. They offered a new sim card, but I had to go get it. I did. Same problem. I called T-Mobile again, and the engineers said they were escalating the problem. I had to call several times, because the issue kept cropping up, and once or twice the call got dropped, too. I finally got a text saying it might take 72 hours to fix. This text was impossible to reply to. 2 or 3 days later, I called again; they said the trouble ticket hadn't been put in properly. This time, when I gave the rep my zip, he said "ohhhh! there are a lot of tickets in that area"--so obviously they DID know there was a problem here. Most maddening of all is the lack of an email address of someone who will ACTUALLY TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for solving this and communicating with me, so that I DON'T HAVE TO KEEP CALLING. It's their problem--they should fix it. I've spent hundreds of dollars (on a new phone I didn't need) and at least 15 hours trying to deal with the fact that your phone service currently doesn't function properly. If I don't receive a substantial (like, 2-month free) credit and an immediate answer telling me when this problem will be solved, I'm giving up on T-Mobile permanently. I know the service is dicey in rural areas; it's supposed to be good in urban areas, like where I live. This is completely ridiculous, and their way of managing customer service is the worst of any company I've dealt with--even Qwest--which is truly saying something.

T-Mobile has the highest data, text, and call performance at the top of the hill. I am a Verzion Wireless Employee, and neither my personal Verizon Phone, nor my Concession phone gets service - no calls, no text, no 1xRTT / 3G / LTE. The same issue occurs with my corporate AT&T line, though for calls, text, EDGE / 3G / 4G / LTE. My Sprint phone, does get call, text, and data (band 25 / band 26) but is much slower than T-Mobile (band 4) and has both higher ping, and latency. T-Mobile is by far, the best MISP in the Seattle area.
