Horrible reception even near windows and on deck. I have problems placing and receiving calls due to poor coverage, and when a call actually goes through, it drops every 3-5 minutes.

Calls drop in my apartment on average every 5-10 minutes. It's unbearable. Data constantly goes in and out all over Capitol Hill. I've been working with Verizon tech support for a year now, recording the times of my dropped calls and trying to get help for this terrible service. They are friendly but worthless. One of them told me, "Well, you're in Capitol Hill. That's why your reception is so bad. I hear many complaints about dropped calls in that area. We can't do anything about that.: I'll be switching to TMobile soon because I heard they are decent in Seattle.

virgin mobile - which I understand uses Sprint towers. great service in all of the the major metropolitan seattle area area, and eastside where I live and work though kirkland bellevue Redmond etc. Patchy to no service in rural areas or outline areas.

Terrible reception at home in Roosevelt, at my office at Fifth and Yesler, at my former home on Finn Hill in Kirkland, at my daughter's office on Queen Ann. One dropped call after another. Sprint has been a huge disappointment out here after the superb coverage I had in Washington DC.

50% chance of getting a call. Calls frequently go to voicemail with notification only occurring hours after the call.

Been with Verizon for 2 years, definitely switching to a different carrier soon. The most reception I get in my house is 2 bars, drops to 1 or no reception in my basement. Calls dropped often. Overall very poor reception.

I had five bars on the Victoria Clipper, in the middle of Puget Sound, miles from land. But I can't get more than one bar in my own house, when I'm next to a window, on the fourth floor. What gives, Verizon?

any time I go lnto certain buildings all my bars disapear. and when people try to call me they get message that this phone is out of service. really sucks

Super Bowl Sunday and NO reception. I have never had this problem before, but it stops you dead in your tracks.

This is the second time in two weeks that I've had NO service available. Jan. 18 was the last one and now this weekend. Do I have to change service to achive proper coverage?

I always have service in the city. I never experience dropped calls, and I like my 8x.

I thought moving into the city would make my phone work better but unfortunately that is not the case. I have maybe 1 bar of 3G at times but mostly it switches to 2 bars of E. AT&T sucks here, which is why I'm switching to something else.

Great! I don't know why Verizon gets such low marks. I've never had a dropped call, performance is excellent. Yes, I don't have "unlimited" data, but I've never even come *near* my data cap (and I'm a heavy data user, with lots of big downloads and streaming).

Well, you can't believe those maps. Apparently I am in the "excellent" area for Sprint but I never get more than two bars at home. Since I moved from N. Sea to W. Sea, it started dropping about 30% of my calls. Its quite annoying when you're on a business call with a client and that happens. Now who do I switch too? I guess I'll try Verizon since there are so many complaints for the other carriers.

used to have t mobile with just fair reception and now have Verizon which is great throughout the neighborhood. does anyone have Sprint in fort ward and how is it?

It's alright when you're outside, indoors is insufferable. Must keep the phone by the window, and even then it's a gamble to send / receive texts. Just one bar of 4G, step ten feet from the window and get nothing.

To whoever posted the info about Sprint on Oct 28, I'm having the same problem. Reception's been fine until a month or so ago and now I get nothing at home. We live in the same area it looks like. I've been on the phone with Sprint several times trying to figure this out. They're telling me that all the towers are working fine. It would be nice to know that others are having reception problems in this area. Please call them as well if you haven't already. Maybe if enough people call, they'll do something about it.

Adequate coverage until two weeks ago, then only roaming on Verizon after a long delay. The constant searching for a Sprint connection causes rapid battery exhaustion not seen before.

As of 10 / 21, my cell reception has disappeared while I am at home, and continued to deteriorate while away from home. From reading on the internet, it appears the 4G access by Samsung 4G Galaxy SII has been bad for many people. I wonder if I need to downgrade from 4G to 3G. I can make calls freely from Bellevue, with dead zones all over Seattle. I've also read that Sprint has oversold their 4G service, oversaturated? My contract is through CREDO, and I'm very disappointed overall, regret having anything to do with Sprint.

Have never had a problem getting reception in Capitol Hill, from Aloha to Union and 15th Ave to Lakeview Blvd. However, reception is spotty in Bellevue, specifically from an upper floor in a highrise near the Transbay Terminal (6th St. and 108th Ave NE).

What is going on? Almost no service and my 3G is going in and out when before I had great service! This is ridiculous and planning on switching to another service as soon as my contract is up..lame sprint... pretty lame.

The north tip of Mercer Island sucks if you have AT&T. Constant dropped calls. Trying to find out if Sprint and / or Verizon is any better

I live in a condo on western and cedar and my ATT reception is below average outside my condo and extremely poor inside my condo, and that's if I stand by the window... wtf!

I live and work in the Denny Triangle / SLU area. I have horrendous service. Average bars is 1 - 2. When dialing out from home, it is common to have a call dropped 3 times before it will go through. The service was so bad at my office, that my company had to install its own boosters. My solution is to use Skype on my phone when I have access to WiFi. I get flawless service that way. I liked the suggestion of using the Edge network, but can't seem to access it from my phone. The only options they give me are 2G and 3G, and when I try 2G I get no service.
