I cannot get any consistent signal for calls, so if I'm lucky enough to get a call out, I still have calls dropping when I don't move into a new location within my home. Calls don't always reach me (which I know from texts I received from a person trying to reach me), and I sometimes have zero signal and cannot make a call at all. I had T-Mobile before and it was better. The signal booster Verizon offered to remedy the reception would just lean on my home's wifi (a different provider) and that is not consistent either.

Always when I get to John Marshall High School my Verizon service goes to 1 bar or no reception at all. I thought that I had the best service provider because I am paying close to $100.00 a month. It seems like Verizon doesn't provide good service in the metropolitan areas North of L.A. I am a dead man during an emergency in Los Feliz / Griffith Park area. I hope Verizon reads my comment and decide to install more cell phone towers on the Los Feliz / Griffith Park / Glendale / Echo Park area. I should have no problems with my signal for the kind of money I am paying.

In the last year service has gotten considerably worse. Seems like no carrier is good in this area. Seems outrageous that service is so poor in such a large metropolitan area.

I thought my carrier T-Mobile was poor and was about to switch to AT&T or Verizon, until I read posts from folks in my area. Now, I'll stick with what I have; those other two had worse experience than my own. Great site, helpful info. Thanks to all for input. Alice R.

can't connect calls even on wifi calling. Phone bar consistently at 1 bar. No surprise, but LTE also is pretty slow down to a crawl on most days.

I live in the valley but my dad lives by UCLA. Every time I come here (4x a week) my Verizon phone stops getting internet and I have to fiddle with it, turn on airplane mode or restart several times it before I get a signal. That’s just irritating most of the time, but once I needed to take a tenant of ours to the er and had to flag down a passerby to use their phone. You would think that with Verizon being one of the most expensive Cell phone plans they would have better coverage

I'm on the Verizon network (through Credo) and even in my apartment with Wi-Fi, the calls continually drop. I have to pay for a landline so I can have a real conversation. When I'm walking around my neighborhood, there are only certain spots where I can make calls. If I need to use Waze, I have to drive away for a while before it works.
