I had AT&T for many years when I lived in NJ. Loved it and their customer service can't be beat! My son moved to LA in 2007 and I started getting dropped calls while talking to him. I visited him in LA in 2008 and every call I made from his apt. was dropped. So when I moved here in May, 2013 I switched to Verizon. I call NJ and NY often and no more dropped calls. I guess I'm stuck with expensive, arrogant, illuminati Verizon because IT WORKS every time! (but sucks to pay $200 for 2 phones!) I wish AT&T worked better where I live!

T-Mobile

4 Out of 5 (4 stars) | Wedbush Building | Figuroa and 7th, Los Angeles, CA 90017 |

Recently switched from Verizon to T Mobile since the price is right with T Mobile. Was initially concerned about the service but after getting my iphone 5s activated I realize that T Mobile is awesome. I travel a lot around LA and the service has been great, I've gotten either 4g or LTE. The unlimited data has been great. In my office, the phone works good, phone reception is fine, and data is pretty quick

My Sprint coverage is just terrible on Larchmont blvd, its really frustrating since I work in the area and I just watched Verizon put up a shiny new tower right next to my business.

I am glad that there is a poll that can guide me to a carrier that possibly has better service in my area. Thanks!

AT&T

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Mar Vista | Culver Blvd.& Centinella Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90066 |

Phone is constantly dropping off the network when I drive between Culver City, Venice, and all the way down the shore to Redondo Beach. When I kept complaining to ATT, the put me in touch with an escalated tech person. She looked into the area, and found that there are THOUSANDS of ATT microcell towers- which means there are thousands of ATT customers in this area who also have poor service. She concluded that they just have bad service in this area, and no intention to make it any better. She even offered to buy me out of my contract, since she admitted my service won't get any better in the foreseeable future. In other words, ATT is aware they have crappy service on the Westside, yet they have no plans to make it better.

Verizon

3 Out of 5 (3 stars) | Ophir Dr. In Westwood, Los Angeles, CA 90024 |

I switched from AT&T to Verizon in 2010. Living in San Francisco, I had an excellent connection data speed indoors for both my cell phone and internet. Outdoors cell phone was great. Then... I move to LA in 2011 near UCLA. Well my data connection speed for both cell and internet dropped drastically indoors. Even near a floor to ceiling / wall to wall window. I no longer get 4 bars, let alone barely 2 bars with 3g. I rarely get 4g since moving to LA. I really am fed up with not getting what I pay for!
