I been having descent reception about 3 dots to 4 at times. I notice that when I am in Waikiki it rudces to 2 dots in certain areas on Kuhio Ave. I recently changed carriers for the unlimited data plan. The initial transition cost really affected our wallets. I hope Sprints coverage improves so I don't have to return to AT&T!

I have been to Honolulu three times and the big island twice and have never had an issue with AT&T service. From north shore to Volcano National park. Usually driving all over the place, and wandering around lost, then using the GPS to find our way home. At least 3 bar's no matter where we went.

I've never lost coverage in any populated areas. Additionally I've hiked dozens of hours on mountains all over the island and have coverage the vast majority of the time.

stayed in honolulu for 2 weeks and Sprint dropped more than half of my calls - no exaggeration. keep in mind this was in the heart of town, not out in the mountains. I asked locals and they all said that Sprint sucks there.

In condo; dropping calls continually with two or three bars; other ATT cell phone is fine so it is a T Mobile issue

Need to add a satelite or cell tower to increase the signal in this area. If they did this all along the northern coast it would be top dollar on Oahu.

Absolutely horrible service! The alignment of the planets is near what you'd need to get a call out without dropping or failing. Data is even worse. Messages will send and receive with a minimum 20 minute delay! If you're looking for coverage anywhere near the area, look for another carrier.

Phone reception is not bad but I stream online radio with several unrelated applications and it streams for about a minute, then drops and re-buffers. After about a minute it drops again and so on and so on.

Virgin Mobile via Sprint: Get error messages frequently telling me I'm offline - no connection. Forget uploading videos to Facebook, even pictures are a challenge for VM. Of course, battery life sucks - I have multiple charging sources and use them throughout the day. Ugh! Hoping competition gets better - looking for something that actually works affordably.

Very poor service. Voice service barely hangs on, and 3G data service is mostly non-existent. When data is working it is slow. 4G does not work at all, and 4G was the reason for using a Smartphone. Reception is also poor along the Red Hill area where I frequently drop calls. Makapuu into Waimalo is poor. Along the Windward side of the island up through the North Shore is also poor. West and Central Oahu coverage is OK though it is poor at the edges of communities. 4G drops frequently during the hours of 8:00 AM through about 9:30 PM at night, perhaps because of high usage periods. I have been a customer of Sprint now since 1999, primarily because they were the first all-digital cellular network carrier. Sprint service on the U.S. mainland is really great, especially the data networks. Here on Oahu it is rendered unusable at times. I am planning to migrate over to a GSM carrier such as AT&T or T-Mobile. That way international travel is made easier being on compatible networks.
