AT&T
I drive all over town and have nothing but great reception wherever I go. It is very rare for me to lose a call or have things go garbled. Two years ago I had T-mobile. It was terrible.

I have had Verizon wireless for almost 6 months now and I couldnt be happier. I get singal almost everywhere I go. Ill get a dropped call every once in awhile when Im at my friends appartment(which is on the bottom floor in the basement). There custumer care isnt half bad but its not the best Ive ever seen. I like them a lot better then AT&T because there is no suprises in the bill, unlike AT&T.

I have had Sprint for almost 3 years now and have been surprisingly satisfied until we just move to our current location. I cannot get more than 2 bars in our home or on the porch. The strangest part of this is that I can get a decent reception after 1pm or so and can make my business calls without them being dropped. Very strange issue I have on my hands and will most likely purchase a 1900mhz booster for my phone (because it is cheaper than getting monetarily stabbed by sprint's contracttermination fee).

Signal was average up until july. Since then I'm lucky to get 2 bars. It is usualy 1 or none. This includes both mine and my wife's phone as well as three phones belonging to my neighbors. All are AT&T. Four are razors and one is a Motorola 557

Sprint not only has many areas north of the river in Kansas City that lack coverage but it's customer service is pitiful (see below). Don't even think about using the phone inside your home. You will lose the call within a minute of connection. Other problems are that most of the time when someone calls you, the phone will never ring and the call will show that it was "missed". Voicemails will be mysteriously "dropped" for no apparent reason so you will miss important calls. In addition, don't count on using the website to look at your bill. Half of the time the website doesn't work or is so slow your browser will lose the connection (this is on a high speed broadband connection, by the way). To top it off, they frequently screw up and / or just render your username and password useless on line so if you are "paperless" you may not see your bill for over a week at a time. The website will direct you to call a number at which customer service will cut you off and not be able to help you restore your username or password anyway. If you cave and decide you HAVE to have Sprint, then whatever you do, don't go paperless. Demand that they send your bill every month. Also check the bill very closely because there are often calls you are charged for that you have not made.

I cannot make or recieve calls in about a 2 block radius from this location. I can, however, recieve and send text messages. ATT sent in a trouble call and they had someone check the service in the area. They called back and confirmed that the signal was weak but they have nom plans to do anything about it. I sure hope T-mobile, Sprint, Verizon or some other service has better coverage there.

I could ask for better, but not for the price. I roam all over this area, into Kansas, down to 291 and 70, south to the triangle, north to the airport. And I haven't had a spot that I didn't have coverage. Not even up at Roosterville airport. I use these guys prepaid and I haven't had a single complaint about them for myself, my wife or my son. All 3 of us have the same model. Would I like to see 5 bars? Sure, who wouldn't. But I get 5 bars some times, have 4 most of the time, 3 most of the part that isn't 4 or 5, and 2 the tiny remainder of the time. That's plenty good enough for my needs, and it's a whole lot better than the Virgin Mobile I had that couldn't get 3 bars most of the time, even standing right outside the tower in Randolph. Next week my mom's is getting replaced, and you can bet I'll put her on their service, too.

Awful. Moved here, and my phone (which used to work great) gets one bar max. I can't get through one conversation without having the call dropped. Barry Rd? Don't get Cingular / ATT.

Great coverage through most of South Kansas City, Downtown Kansas City, and KCK

I can't get reception in my apartment (an old building ) and am looking to switch carriers. The phone and T-Mobile have worked well for me until now, but I can't have a phone that says "seraching -- emergency calls only" when I'm inside, especially since I'm not getting a land line. Very frustrating.
