324 bars but speeds at 3G when doing speed test, the old dial up was better

Sprint coverage is bad across the United States. However, it seems to be worst than average in Las Vegas, NV. I dont understand how Sprint seems to be getting worse from a coverage perspective. Are they putting towers out of service?

Verizon

Phone reception at this location has been poor for over 5 years with no indication of improving. Verizon CS agrees with poor reception but only recommendation they have is to purchase their range extender for their network at my cost with no guarantee that will fix the problem.

I am limited to one spot in the house where I get reception. I get dropped calls and missed call and texts that come in a day or two later. We do a lot of traveling and it seems we have these same issues in spots all over the country.

AT&T

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Las Vegas Blvd. | Agate Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123 |

At&t is absolute garbage, and their customer service is the same. I can't get a call out if I'm not standing next to my patio door or on my balcony, which is ridiculous. If someone calls me, I can answer and they will hear me say 'hello', and then the signal drops even lower so that they can no longer hear me talk, even though I can hear them. I had my phone tested at Apple, and all diagnostics showed no issue with the phone - it is strictly a carrier problem. If this was way out in the middle of nowhere, I'd understand. But this is 15 from the strip, and it's also a heavily developed part of town. My friend has T-Mobile and stayed at my place for 5 days without ever having one issue. I have 1 bar at best, and my friend consistently had 3 or better. And it's not just Las Vegas... . I have reception trouble in other major cities as well (Chicago, San Diego, Phoenix), and so do many friends who have recently decided to leave AT&T. There's no excuse for their service anymore; they are useless and unreliable, and when comparing to other carriers, they honestly don't have anything to offer giving them an advantage. If I'm going to suffer with lousey reception, I might as well do it for a lot less with another carrier that isn't so greedy and stuck in the stone age. After 18 years of being their wireless customer, I am DONE!

AT&T

4 Out of 5 (4 stars) | Nellis AFB , Las Vegas, NV 89115 |

I don't know what the other reviewers problem is; maybe a bad phone. I am on and off Nellis a few times a week since I work for a contractor. I get 4 to 5 bars and data rates of 15Mb plus.

No 4GLTE. Best case, service is 3G and generally only with one bar. Can make calls, but texts take forever to send. Data, Internet? Forget about it. Many times 3G drops to 1X. Battery life is drained at incredible rates as phone is always losing and attempting to regain signal.

My phone only gets 1 bar for server with AT&T. What is going on? This is absurd!

Sprint LTE coverage is so abysmally bad. RootMetrics claims Sprint is a formidable carrier in Las Vegas when in fact Sprint is the bottom of the barrel worst service you could ever have. LTE coverage sucks and barely works even outside, 3G is so slow its pointless and 1X is a nightmare even for phone calls. Calls waver and chop in and out. You'd be better off investing in a roll of coins for a payphone and using WiFi hotspots.

4 Out of 5 (4 stars) | Eastern and Warm Springs | I-215, Las Vegas, NV 89119 |

I was ooking to change for better service. I drive in anthem and need a service that will not drop my calls. I have found the dead zones and try to stay away from them. Sprint's response "can't guarantee service in your home" when I couldn't connect at the parent's house in Texas (they didn't have wireless service at the time). I have been with Sprint since the beginning of cell phone service and will not change. Seems that there may be more dead zones in Las Vegas, than any where else I have traveled.
