If you stand on your head, clap your hands, and spin around three times you might get a clear call. Just make sure you don't move, otherwise it's gone.

Really poor reception in Tigard and Hillsboro, where I use the phoen most frequently. Dropped calls and really poor reception. Will switch when contract is up.

Some black out areas and generally poor reception. Just removed the landline and now not sure if I should get it back.

Spotty, usually poor reception. Signal strength fluctuates from 0 to three bars while phone is sitting on table. Number of bars seems to have no relation to signal quality.

Get no reception in my apartment, the phone will ring and I will press my ear to just the right spot in the window and will get reception for 5 seconds, then lose the call. Network is always busy around dinner time. I seem to get text messages fine, but calls are very unpredictable. Moved into the new apartment not thinking I would have to spend $50 dollars a month on a landline. Ridiculous and expensive. Have heard the same from other callers. Someone said sometimes they can get service with their T-Mobile if they can find a sweet spot. Have been spending a majority of my day looking for that sweet spot and have even driven to the QFC on Barnes Rd.to have a conversation! When is the neighborhood going to be connected?

I have carried Verizon for 6 years and have not had any dropped calls! this is foreign to me. I had to comment after reading all of these posts.

Signal fades with every single call. I only get a signal if I stand next to my window. Basically no strong signals, whatsoever, if I am in a building. The towers just went down 2 days ago.

Lots of dropped calls through out the PDX Metro area. Lots of garbled and lost direct connect calls also.

Sometimes I get a call, but the conversation is spotty and garbled and often drops. I'm at the top of the sylvan hill, right next door to the Sunset Highway, on West Slope Drive. DEAD SPOT!

I had Sprint PCS and couldn't get reception in my apartment. I would drop calls 75% of the time and if I moved the phone more than 3 inches during a call I was hitting the redail. With Sprint PCS there was a clear dead zone at the stoplight at Tewilleger and 10. With Verizon Wireless I have found no deadzones yet nor dropped any calls in SW, NE or SE Portland. I am very pleased with the service.
