Sprint
I just switched to Sprint PCS coverage and it doesn't really seem to be a problem. The signal meter sure fluctuates more than any phone I've ever had but so far no outages or dropped calls.

Pretty good coverage in the Colonnade business and apartments area. Text messaging is horrendous as is the Sprint's customer service.

Loses signal constantly while inside the building, nearby Verizon tower may be drowning out the signal. Overall Sprint PCS reception in San Antonio is spotty and poor overall. However, even with poor signal coverage, it's still outranks Sprint PCS's horrific customer service.

Calls are constantly dropped, phone doesn't ring, calls can't go through, voice mail often 2 hours or more after the call.

My old Nokia 5185 never dropped a call here. The new Nokia 3589i constantly drops calls here. Has been reprogrammed physically and still does it. I'm ready to reactivate my old phone. Not as pretty, but it works!

About two blocks from St. Marys University. Dropped calls and incoming calls are not completed. Phone does not ring at all. Voice mail notification is received usually about an hour after voice mail is left if received at all. Outgoing calls have bad static and will usually be dropped halfway through. This is the same for TDMA and GSM in the same intersection.

Very good reception, never drop calls, all calls go through with no problem.

Actually a 1 is being very generous, more like 0.5. Pathetic signal especially in around post at Ft. Sam. At times its better to send smoke signals than use their service! I've complained numerous times about T-Mobile's reception - no response. Stay away from tmobile if your stationed around Ft. Sam your just wasting your money.

$300 phone that tells me "Emergency Calls Only". At home Perrin-Beitel and 410, bad reception unless outside. McCullough & Dewey or Cypress or Evergreen, really bad reception, walkingin circles in parking lot to keep signal, intermitent. Seaworld area, 5 bars, "Network Busy" when tryin to make calls, turn phone off on try again, same thing. Then drops tower totally, reconnects 5bars and works fine. Same thing 35s close to 1604. Start call at Bandera & Eckhert get to Bandera & Wurzbach bars are down to one or nothing, drops call goes up to 5 bars. This happens in more than one spot.

Outdoors the signal is fantastic all around town. Indoors, particularly my dense apartment complex, I need to stand by windows in order to assure no dropped conversations. I've had a few dropped calls while deep within buildings.
