Sprint
Several missed dropped calls a day from home and driving around Oakland. Called and visited Sprint several times and their people tell me something different each time, none of which fixes the problem. Will probably switch to TMobile soon.

I now understand why my signal is so terrible here. If you look at the map, there is only 1 tower on the far end of the main island of alameda. And I think another over on Davis st by the Costco. Verizon only has 1 near the Oakland airport. What I don't understand is why there are clusters of them in towns kinda outside the main areas. Like, a bunch in south san Francisco but none IN San Francisco. A bunch in Concord but nothing around Richmond. And so on.. If you look At the map for each individual cellular service provider, its not much better but Sprint seems to have the least of them all. What happened? I used to have no complaints with my Sprint signal but in recent years something has changed. I have this 5g capable phone but no 5g but I barely can get 3g 4g or lte, always roaming or no signal at all, never more than maybe 1 bar and a flickering 2nd bar.

1-3 bars but useless speeds all around the airport and surrounding neighborhoods. Pathetic

I live on Jules avenue in San Francisco, I have poor reception from MetroPCS. I think they're putting up some new towers in my area so hopefully it gets better.

Trying to figure out if switching from Sprint to AT&T helps with cellphone calls.

Sprint works good. I get dropped calls in some areas, but otherwise, most of my calls and text messages come through. A friend of mine who has AT&T came yo my house and her phone always says No Service.

Terrible Verizon cell phone service in Alameda. How can a major carrier like Verizon, that is selling service in our community and collecting money for it, be unable to provide basic cell phone coverage that it has contracted to provide its users? My Verizon cell phone regularly shows either 1 bar or "No Service". I am unable to make outbound calls for work, even to my own voicemail. This is a business cell phone under a corporate contract. The rare times I am actually able to make a call using my Verizon service, the call usually gets cut off. I have business calls to the East Coast to my colleagues that Verizon is unable to ever complete. My colleagues have to call me, often on my own, personal cell phone, which does not use Verizon but GoogleFi, which always works. It's shocking how bad the Verizon issue is here in Alameda.

3-4 Bars Indoor. Sound good. Data good. Sprint is just fine over here.

Never, ever more than two bars, indoors or out. Frequently falls back to 4G speeds. Call quality is poor.
